Hello Summer! Please forgive the cheerful tone, I know that things are probably just as terrible or worse for you as they have been for us. The difference may be that I expected things to get this bad, fretted and, yes, cried about it to anybody that would listen…months ago. It could be that my positive-glass-half-full attitude has withered in the last 3 years. If you want to know how bad it’s going to get…I would have to say: please don’t ask. Things were so bad that I deleted my Twitter account and set this website to “private” – because as dreary as this post reads so far…I’m miles better today than I was a few months ago.
We can’t put the baby back into daycare, so I’m working from home (since March) until that is no longer an option. We can’t afford to stay where we are on one income, so we’re looking for a house where the cost of living is much lower and closer to family. I have no idea how I feel about this reality. I’m still taking things one day at a time, honestly. It’s difficult to imagine packing up and moving…then dealing with family (actually they are lovely, I just prefer my bubble – ya know?)
We are beginning the process of starting over. So that I can process all the upcoming changes, I’m turning the process into a project (it’s what I do).
“The Indoorsy Project” will adapt as I do to our ever-changing new normal. Oh yeah and here’s the July 2020 wallpaper…I know it’s useless but here it is nonetheless.
