wild apple magazine

I’m not a fan of recipe hacks. You know, the ones. SUPER YUMMY (GLUTEN FREE) CUPCAKES. While I’m doing my Whole30 I cannot do grains of any kind so there are no cupcakes in my near or distant future. Since overhauling my diet, I haven’t been searching out substitutions for desserts or treats. What I […]

look at the birds, up in the trees…

Well, THAT was beautiful. My weekend was very busy and I accomplished so much! I donated blood, did almost all the laundry, cleaned the house top to bottom and reclaimed my office from the kitten. Thankfully, he has survived two whole nights out in the the open and so have my knick knacks. I completely […]

reduce your daily lunchprint

Quick post today about sandwiches. Or plastic sandwich bags, rather. I almost didn’t want to eat my lunch when the time came. Always 🤎 Take a deep breath, and a moment to be proud of all the progress you’ve made. 🤎 🤎 Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. -Brene Brown Anytime I mix fruit and florals I am reminded of that one summer I painted fruit on signage for the local plant nursery where I also watered plants, and maybe definitely took naps on giant bags of mulch. 🤎 Braved a wisteria bumblebee gauntlet twice today on our walk. 🐝 Off to grandma’s house to check on the peonies. Everything seems to be blooming late this year. It’s been a day, y’all. When my daughter fell asleep earlier than usual for her nap I knew she wasn’t feeling 💯. Took her temp and she had a fever. 🤦🏻‍♀️
