September 2020 desktop wallpaper

Click here to download the September 2020 desktop wallpaper. We made it to September, and by no small miracle. The first 2 weeks of Covid-19 were the worst, the next 3 weren’t great but I slowly started to get back to my usual self. I still have trouble concentrating and I get some things mixed […]

May 2020 desktop wallpaper

Are you losing track of the days like I have been? I’m still working from home while taking care of my daughter but days are blending together with their sameness. Not complaining, I actually tend to thrive on routine. That said, I did not post the May 2020 desktop wallpaper as planned. C’est la vie! […]

Be Well

Hi, my name is Aimee and I’m a germaphobe. I don’t shake hands, I have large dispensers of antibacterial gel at the ready in all spaces I regularly occupy (work, home, in the car and purse). When I get a scratch I wash it immediately then apply neosporin and bandaid. I keep 2 first aid […]

moving mountains

You have no idea (or maybe you do) how difficult it is for me not to post a HUGE “whoa is me, I’m so tired/lonely/afraid/sick/in over my head/for the love of gawd somebody please save me” post. The baby has been sick with virus’ since day one of daycare. And so have I. Me, the […]

🤎 Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. -Brene Brown Anytime I mix fruit and florals I am reminded of that one summer I painted fruit on signage for the local plant nursery where I also watered plants, and maybe definitely took naps on giant bags of mulch. 🤎 Braved a wisteria bumblebee gauntlet twice today on our walk. 🐝 Off to grandma’s house to check on the peonies. Everything seems to be blooming late this year. It’s been a day, y’all. When my daughter fell asleep earlier than usual for her nap I knew she wasn’t feeling 💯. Took her temp and she had a fever. 🤦🏻‍♀️ A bee visits around 100 flowers per foraging flight, with a maximum speed of up to 19 miles per hour. When things feel heavy (and my daughter is fast asleep) I retreat into what I call my aimeecave. In the cave I detach a bit and pour myself into a project or three. Projects with no expectations; took some watercolor and procreate classes on Skillshare, then watched some Netflix. Also went and got a check-up and scheduled my mammogram.
