you are loved

Today I spoke briefly with a naturopathic doctor. I’m working on their marketing materials and we were discussing revisions over the phone. She mentioned wanting to translate some collateral into French and we both agreed that it would help broaden her reach to French speaking Canadians. I let her know I’d need her help of […]

🤎 Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. -Brene Brown Anytime I mix fruit and florals I am reminded of that one summer I painted fruit on signage for the local plant nursery where I also watered plants, and maybe definitely took naps on giant bags of mulch. 🤎 Braved a wisteria bumblebee gauntlet twice today on our walk. 🐝 Off to grandma’s house to check on the peonies. Everything seems to be blooming late this year. It’s been a day, y’all. When my daughter fell asleep earlier than usual for her nap I knew she wasn’t feeling 💯. Took her temp and she had a fever. 🤦🏻‍♀️ A bee visits around 100 flowers per foraging flight, with a maximum speed of up to 19 miles per hour. When things feel heavy (and my daughter is fast asleep) I retreat into what I call my aimeecave. In the cave I detach a bit and pour myself into a project or three. Projects with no expectations; took some watercolor and procreate classes on Skillshare, then watched some Netflix. Also went and got a check-up and scheduled my mammogram.
