trees 4 the wood

“Grace Gladdish is a mother of 5 with 4 years at art college and a long but often interrupted history of exhibiting her artwork. She runs trees4thewood from her studio on her flower farm in Southern Tasmania” I stand by my assessment that all things Australian are, by definition, adorable. Grace Gladdish’s Etsy shop, Tree4thewood, […]

art feelings by ArtMind

Mitsy Sleur’s Art feelings are very smart and sensitive. I probably like them so much because I am such a “moody” person, but still. You can even order a custom Art Feeling; mine would be a frankensteinesque art feeling called “mixed”. But you already knew that. Watch Mitsy’s Handmade Portrait below and then go […]

paper flowers don’t lie

I’m currently obsessed with paper flowers and paper flower tutorials. In the back of my mind I know that creating giant roses for my office and/or living room would also mean creating GIANT dust collectors. But does that mean I shouldn’t create them? It’s a quandry; I’ve always equated decor (tchotchkes) with dust and dusting […]

the summer dress

I’m sure I’ve mentioned before that I’m not very fashioney. Unless “ragamuffin” has come into style? It’s true I tend to favor pajamas and flip flops. I’m looking for a happy medium by way of comfy summer dresses and sandals. The styles above are all from Anthropologie, which is way out of my price range […]

friendly toys

Have you noticed all the great vintage-inspired toys and decor out there? I am completely mad for wooden pull toys. I remember having a dog pull toy when I was little. He was Fisher Price – not quite handmade, right? – but his ears flapped back and forth when you took him for a walk […]

feltstory

I was knocked over today by the cuteness of this lil’ fuzzy guy. Spotted him in an Etsy treasury and clicked faster than you can say ohmegahthatscute. He’s from FeltStory, he’s Russian (of course!) and has some very adorable friends. I’m not sure how durable these little guys are but I know that they are […]

Hello, Lovelies! Hop over to the designer resources page for something new 😉 I’ve surprised myself in the last few months by getting a little sad whenever I see baby clothes. My girl is inching toward her third birthday and talking a bit more (arguing a bit more as well, lol.) Thank you everybody that sent get well ❤️‍🩹 wishes for my little girl. She had a rough few days but is feeling much better. Just trying to work on her appetite now. So far she’s okay with nibbling on waffles and blueberries. Thankfully she took fluids well and didn’t get dehydrated. My toddler had fevers last night so, naturally, I stayed up staring at her sleep and taking her temperature. First time she’s been sick in 2 years. It’s been a low grade fever all day. She was sick 5 times from 3-6 months (first 3 months of daycare were a nightmare) but after we went into lockdown she stayed healthy. Hoping she bounces back quickly, I’m relearning how to take care of a sick baby. So far she’s just been a little clingy and running around less. We were going to go to the Children’s Zoo today but instead we are resting. Also, her cousin was sent home from school and down with fever yesterday afternoon so we’re pretty sure they have the same thing since they were together twice this week. The color palette I’m working with at the moment. 🤍 Today I’d actually just like to lay down and sleep, like, all day. I’m sure that won’t happen. 🤍 My childhood summers were all about berry picking and calamine lotion… since, in our quest, we always caught poison ivy. Designers love grids. It’s May 1st, and where I’m from that means it’s May Day!
