weeks three and four Whole30

It’s day # 28 of my Whole30 adventure. My third and fourth weeks were “okay”. I did start to get a little “bored” with my lunches and dinners and I have been thinking A LOT about what the first “sweet” thing would be after day 30 (Mmmm, lemon bars). I decided it will just be […]

oh, hunny

Mini Whole30 update: Yesterday I decided that I would have a gluten-free birthday cake next month for my 38th. I searched online for local bakeries, thought about making it myself. Always 🤎 Take a deep breath, and a moment to be proud of all the progress you’ve made. 🤎 🤎 Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. -Brene Brown Anytime I mix fruit and florals I am reminded of that one summer I painted fruit on signage for the local plant nursery where I also watered plants, and maybe definitely took naps on giant bags of mulch. 🤎 Braved a wisteria bumblebee gauntlet twice today on our walk. 🐝 Off to grandma’s house to check on the peonies. Everything seems to be blooming late this year. It’s been a day, y’all. When my daughter fell asleep earlier than usual for her nap I knew she wasn’t feeling 💯. Took her temp and she had a fever. 🤦🏻‍♀️
