wild, wondrous and worthy

May is Mental Health Awareness Month “A mental illness is a condition that affects a person’s thinking, feeling or mood. Such conditions may affect someone’s ability to relate to others and function each day. Each person will have different experiences, even people with the same diagnosis.” Did you know? Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the […]

April 2020 desktop wallpaper

How are we all doing? Seriously, how are you feeling? Any symptoms? Hopefully you are very well, sitting in your home safe watching your plants grow. The baby and I are healthy. Her Daddy is a truck driver so we only see him a few days every 4-5 weeks. He is somewhere in Oregon right […]

new digs

Almost completely moved in to the new place (did I mention I’m moved/moving?). There are boxes everywhere and lots of things need to be done, but I’m damn tired and doing my best. Which is all you can do, right? 2017 drained my energy and I’m running on empty. The internet trolls, the hypocrites, the […]

an impeccable sadness

Struggling a bit lately. I need to be honest because not admitting I’m feeling wobbly means staying stuck. I’m angry with myself, overthinking, overly critical, unsure about how best to push through so I’m taking things a day at a time, sometimes half a day. I’m frustrated and tired. “Depression is an impeccable sadness.” I […]

Always 🤎 Take a deep breath, and a moment to be proud of all the progress you’ve made. 🤎 🤎 Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light. -Brene Brown Anytime I mix fruit and florals I am reminded of that one summer I painted fruit on signage for the local plant nursery where I also watered plants, and maybe definitely took naps on giant bags of mulch. 🤎 Braved a wisteria bumblebee gauntlet twice today on our walk. 🐝 Off to grandma’s house to check on the peonies. Everything seems to be blooming late this year. It’s been a day, y’all. When my daughter fell asleep earlier than usual for her nap I knew she wasn’t feeling 💯. Took her temp and she had a fever. 🤦🏻‍♀️
